EMPLOYEE SOLUTIONS CURRICULUM

The need for basic skills training continues to be a focus of attention to many employers for providing their staff with competencies that can be used on the job daily.

1.        WORKPLACE HARASSMENT PREVENTION

Now, more than ever, managers and employees need to be aware of what is and is not acceptable and legal behavior in the workplace. This program addresses not just sexual harassment but other forms of workplace harassment and discrimination that may leave the organization open to litigation if not addressed. This course is appropriate for managers and employees at all levels throughout the organization.

2.        ACHIEVING COMMUNICATION EFFECTIVENESS

Learn effective communication techniques thereby opening the door to dialogue, negotiation, collaboration, and compromise. You will learn how to listen effectively (different than hearing), determine the appropriate listening style, and match your behavior to what you are saying. 3.        PROFESSIONALISM IN THE OFFICE

This online course will teach the skills needed to be more professional on the job. This self-study will emphasize the positive results when an employee possesses courtesy, work organization, time management skills, effective interpersonal communication skills, knowledge of the organizational culture, and flexibility for change. 4.        DIVERSITY AWARENESS

This online course will assist in understanding, recognizing and appreciating that cultural diversity means being different from others and learning how to celebrate those differences once they are identified. This course will show how to interact with different kinds of people--a source of enrichment, which can bring a wealth of benefits to every organization. 5.        PROBLEM SOLVING

(6-month subscription)

Provides a framework for discussion that helps to foster innovative thinking.  Through the practice of the Six Hats methods, adversarial, time-consuming meetings can be greatly reduced.  Learn how to practice six-dimensional parallel thinking, how to think collaboratively and productively individually or in groups.

6.        UNDERSTANDING BEHAVIORAL STYLES FOR INDIVIDUALS

In this course you will learn to understand your own behavioral style and how to use this knowledge to enhance your communication skills and increase your productivity. Includes one Behavioral Communication Feedback Report.

7.        UNDERSTANDING BEHAVIORAL STYLES FOR TEAMS

Good teamwork often depends on “getting off on the right foot”. Being able to quickly recognize a person's behavioral style and interact appropriately are critical to this process. Understanding Behavioral Styles for Teams shows you how to recognize different behavior patterns, and develop adaptive skills that increase your ability to communicate successfully with others. Includes one Behavioral Communication Feedback Report.

8.        BUILDING STRONGER TEAMS FOR IMPROVED RESULTS WITH DISC

Use this interactive and entertaining course as a pre-work assignment to provide a solid foundation of DISC behavioral style knowledge, spend valuable class time applying DISC in team situations and then after the class as a review and reinforcement tool for a full year.

9.        EMAIL ETIQUETTE

Messages that employees thought had been deleted are being discovered in back-up tapes and elsewhere by high tech detectives and used as evidence in lawsuits. Productivity that is supposed to be enhanced by the speed and power of e-mail is, in many organizations, being negatively impacted as employees use their e-mail for personal communication, to run their own private businesses, to send jokes, or to "flame" those they don’t like.
